Fae and magic. Blood and lust. Hopelessness and betrayal. HEARTBREAK. I blew through this book. You watch the fmc go from feeling hopeless and unworthy to being confident and then boom she is crushed. You will fall for the mmc and hate him at the same time. The characters will have you trusting them just to be blindsided. Who can you trust when everyone has their own motives in this book? I hope we get to see the fmc bloom into a raging powerful bad a** in book 2!

I absolutely loved this book. If you enjoy ACOTAR, Throne of Glass, and the Hunger Games, you will devour this. The author does a fantastic job spinning her own take on magical, fae, and fantasy themes. The writing is so good, I literally felt the pain of the main character as she struggles throughout her journey. I cannot wait for the next part!

This book was impossible to put down. I read a lot of fantasy and can often see twists coming, but this book kept surprising me. I enjoyed learning about the world in small snippets as Thea grew and learned more about her past. I loved that there was an interesting plot and that the book didn't just rely on the slow build of the love story, but that is not to say that the love story was a disappointment. It was definitely not!

This book did not hold back and I had to forcefully put it down to go to bed at night. The hate, sadness and confusion Thea felt was so intense, and she deserves all the revenge for how she was treated in here. I wanted to pull her out of those pages and take revenge on all for her!

Secrets & Curses has officially pushed its way into my top 5 series! The first book, Secrets & Curses of Exile, was amazing! I absolutely devoured it, however Secrets & Curses of Cerithia might’ve broke me 🥲 Shay does an amazing job at getting you attached to characters & the plot twist at the end had me sobbing (crying while I’m typing this)

Cassius is an absolute sweetheart! How my heart broke for him at times. His undevoted love, his heartbreak literally brought a tear to my eye. Thea continues to be a total bad a**. Her unwavering rage, her relentlessness. I actually despise her father and his evil wife with every part of my soul. An absolutely cracking second book and I absolutely can.not.wait to read what comes next!
